Holy mother CRAP!

I have written about how Tenaga Nasional Berhad or some people in TNB could not see the light from the bright. Please see my article titled No joke please, we are TNB!!!

And today, I learned from Rocky's Bru that Malaysia has again been dragged into legal infamy by some really bright spark in the Multimedia and Communications authority in Malaysia.

Yes. The author who wrote that TNB parody/satire is going to be charged in Court tomorrow, apparently under section 233(1)(a) of the Multimedia and Communications Act 1998, for allegedly  “creating and spreading lies with the malicious intent to hurt others.” Please go to his blog, Nose4news for this story.

We have lost the plot so many times.

Submarines which could not dive. Slaughtered a cow in the Parliament. An MP got semput after eating durian and mutton in the Parliament. Jet engines from the Royal Air Force were stolen and nobody knew about it for yonks. A reporter was detained under the ISA to protect her own safety. Jean Todt became our ambassador for tourism (what the heck has happened to him, by the way?).

Then of course we have Ibrahim Ali and his Taming Sari wielding followers around town lodging police reports after police reports while posing in front of cameras holding the police report for everybody to see their stupidity. Latest I heard a police report is going to be lodged because telur ayam had naik harga.

Recently, we have a pronouncement of legendary proportion that meritocracy is racist. And non-Muslims cannot be in a mosque. Teenage baby dumpers should be sentenced to death. A Chinese MP is deemed dirty. Headmistress spewing racist remarks. A rapper insulting the headmistress in a video. A top legal man demonstrating in Court how to strangle oneself.

All are classic Malaysian-esque display of moronic orgies. It's like we are all living in a porn of stupidity, where everyday, everyone of us tries hard to outdo each other's stupidity.

For God's sake, that article by Hassan Skodeng WAS A JOKE! Which part of  the word "joke" which we do not understand? Have we all become wet blankets? Or incorrigible kill joy?

I hope the Judge would see the light and dismiss this utterly laughable, ludicrous and not to mention ridiculous charge.

"Teenage baby dumpers should be sentenced to death"

I agree with all in this article except that I don't find death to people who dumps baby is funny. I think it's just, how can you take one life away and just walk away like that. How are we so deluded and kind to a murderer and rapist nowadays is beyond me. Well, I do think when all these happens to you that you will change your mind on whether killing the necessary evil is not just necessary thing, but a noble cause to pursue.....

"Teenage baby dumpers should be sentenced to death."

In some other countries (including Communist ones), government officials who are found guilty of corruption may be sentenced to death.

You could send Najib a secret message in a Hari Raya "ketupat" and tell him the secret answer.

I know it's a waste if the other 20 millions Malaysians hear about it and each send one, too. But maybe Rosmah can collect all the rice and pulut in the ketupat and save it in a gudang for Malaysia's food security backup.

Mike,

I respect your opinion. But to me, baby dumping is the end result of a much larger societal issue which cannot be solved by death sentences.

Most of them are teenagers. Some are even as young as 15, 16 and 17 years old. These girls indulge in unprotected sex. They get pregnant. They deliver and they have nowhere to go.

The stigma of having a child born out of wedlock is too much, particularly among the Malays.

They need help. They have done something which is quite natural (ie having teen sex, but unprotected of course). Now before anybody accuses me of being unIslamic, let me say that I am viewing this purely from a sociological point of view.

Do we want to sentence 16 years olds? What about the boys/men who impregnated the girls?

Baby dumping needs a more holistic approach to solve. Death sentence is not the answer.

Dear En. Art Harun,

Having a baby out of wedlock is not only shameful to the Malays but to all Asians.

Nation in Crisis! Charge Namawee! To top it all, we have SoiLek suggesting that this young man should be more cautious with what he puts on tape.

Tell me which part of the video is worse than calling your ancestors beggars and prostitutes. If not bad enough, what message was UMNO trying to pass when they promoted and awarded a title - Wira Bangsat - to Ahmad, seemingly as a reward for openly insulting the Chinese citizens of this country. And, detaining women, even a defenseless journalist for her gall to write about this same Ahmad - her detention aws apparently necessary for her own protection - and another, although falsely accused by radicals, for her reportedly anti- Islam stand. No government can seek to exonerate itself when it liberally uses some archaic and draconian laws to victimize and silence voices of dissent and to deprive others of their liberties.

Most do not seem to appreciate the fact that, faced with the knowledge of the odds stacked against them and the brutality of the unjust laws that may befall them, they still take it upon themselves to stand up against the tyranny and the might of the ruling regime. If such is not a passionate and convicted display of patriotism and nationalism, then, I fail to understand what else is.

On the other hand, you have these obviously over-fed and obscenely wealthy mobsters, who insist on being given more than they can consume in one lifetime on the basis of their bizarre ethnic rights. The brazen disregard to the contributions and sacrifices others had made to develop this country and their treacherous acts to distort history and fabricate tales to conceal the truth of the struggles that all had made to be where we are today, only vindicates anyone who would label them as ingrates, thieves and liars. Do they ever ask themselves as to why they deserve what they are petitioning for or what contributions they had made, other than the disgraceful and inflammatory statements by which they continue to pollute and infect the Malay mind and antagonize all others. These shameless and spineless social parasites must awaken to the fact that they cannot harp on their birthrights forever and they cannot ride on the back of their forefathers to deny the rights of all others. They must learn to acknowledge and respect the fact that many non-Malays who chose to settle here had willingly given their lifes and property in defense of this country and to help it develop. So damn annoying and disgusting! What more when those who died for this country were your own ancestors.

Yet again, what about the incessant taunts by Ibrahim, MPM, Utusan and other extreme right Malay movements that spare no discretion at declaring that non-Muslim Malays have virtually no rights here and that we should be grateful for being tolerated by the Malays. If this is not offensive and provocative enough for UMNO to act and check the pervasive rot that has visited our country of late, then, you suggest to me, what in your understanding threatens our peace and stability as a nation?

If denying the right to a peaceful expression of opposition to laws that defy all norms of human dignity and accepted principles of social justice, while condoning depraved acts of desecration and sacrilege against the religions and beliefs of others and rubbishing the appeals of others for a more equitable and just system of distributive justice, chiefly in the economic and educational areas. It appears that the moment you raise your concerns about these issues, you will be deemed not only as challenging the rights and protection afforded the Malays in the FC, but accused of more serious, as 'abstract' as they may be, crimes of inciting violence and threatening national security.

Now, all considered, what harm and damage can anyone do, even Namawee, that has not already been done! UMNO must realize that the more often they resort to abusing the laws to serve their own political agenda and the more often a minister makes an incredulous and stupid statement in defense of an action or inaction on the part of the government, they are simply inviting more disgust and disrepute and sucking UMNO and its allies into the darkest abyss of despair and shame from which there could be no salvation.

So, stop the sensationalizing and attempts to criminalize innocent displays of frustrations that most of us feel today, given the detestable and deplorable abuse that non-Muslim citizens are subjected to on a daily basis. Show resolve and conviction at eradicating the cancer that has infected our society lately, especially with the entry of mobs in the likes of Perkasa, MPM, etc, etc who conceal their true purpose and agenda by hiding behind the cloak of “ Malays Rights”, and the hallucinatory behavior of Utusan. Act to neutralize them immediately or, forever hold your peace, as you watch our nation implode and self-destruct.

I agree with Art, baby dumping is a sad thing but what is more sad is the fact all this is happening in Malaysia, a so called developing nation. We strive to build the tallest building, longest this and that and try to out do other developing countries, but that basic needs of every human being is overlooked. Sex drives every living thing. Sex education in schools is a taboo. The government chooses to live in denial and are also ashamed to address the issue. We have morons in parliament who suggest that special schools be set up for the underage pregnant gals, and then there is also a suggestion by this fools to legalize child marriage. Dumping a child is just as bad as raising a child irresponsibly. How do you expect a child to raise and care for another child? If these teenagers wanted to have protected sex, where would they buy the condoms or pills with some one in the community giving them weird stares? Most Malaysians will play the part of the moral police, especially the government. I bet most of these pregnancies are a result of quickies in the back of a car or some bushes some where. How are they to have responsible protected sex when they have to constantly watch their backs? The risk of being arrested by the moral police is just as high as pregnancy or perhaps even higher. To have or not to have sex should be left to the individuals consenting to it. We may curse this young gals for dumping their babies and say that they should be sentenced to death and so on. But in reality, this gals are also traumatized by the fact that they have to dump the child after carrying the child in their wombs for 40weeks. I believe if every one minds their own business and not judge others by their sexual needs, this is some thing that we can over come in no time. I too have a daughter, little cousins and nieces. I never tell them that they should not have sex, instead I tell them "It's good to abstain until you get married but you are old enough to know right from wrong so you be the judge of your self but always be safe and responsible for your actions"

Just to share something. My General Manager, who is supposedly well educated, read the satire piece and asked loudly in the office "Is this stupid TNB for real?".

Which shows that Malaysians do not understand satire/parody. They rarely understand jokes even.

Not legitimizing the lawsuit, but if the satire is considered as a factual piece (which many dull Malaysians do) then, it could be said that the lawsuit has its merits.

Plus, Malaysians just don't bother to read disclaimers. Or between the lines.

15 or 16 or 14, I think we should matured well already. But I do understand it depends on the parents, society and governments on the subject of maturity level of the children.

Right and wrong is subjective for an atheist, so I choose not say anything to an atheist since and an atheist does not have an objective morality.

But as a man of religion, we should know that our anchor of good is God. We have a morale anchor and responsibility as we know that this world is just a test. Why are we saying that the age of 15 should be exempt from the same the same punishment, does age matters in crime?

But I agree on one thing, we have to tackle the bigger issues that lead to these problems first, i.e the leaders who keeps people away from our true spiritual nature.

Mike....You appear to be a little blood thirsty. What's your problem?
Is that the answer to all evil...kill the person who makes a mistake?
Selling drugs to drug addicts...kill the fella.
Possessing a bullet....kill the bugger.
Having 200 gms of grass....kill the monkey.
Now, if your daughter is so frightened by the stigma of an unwanted pregnancy because she is so so scared of her parents that she has no choice but to dump the new born.....kill her and all will be solved.
That's really smart thinking. Shit, while we are in the mood why don't we kill speed fiends, snatch theives, ill trained doctors who botch up operations, unhygenic food stall operators, owners of stagnant drains, because all these people are liable for potential deaths from road accidents, assault, medical incompetence, dysentery and dengue fever.
And after the Malaysian population has been decimated by pre meditated cold blooded judicial murder also known as 'capital punishment' for these 'crimes', then perhaps you may start to sleep a little easier at night, Mike?

Mike,

Which religion teaching you that killing is a noble cause? Go and get your head examined my friend.

Be more compassion my friend, those poor girls made mistakes. Making mistakes when you are 15 - 18 is not a structural problem that cannot be rectified.

Even when you are above 80 and still vomiting racist remarks,
we shall not kill you. We just hope you will kick the bucket faster.

Hi Anynomous,

Why cant we differ in an opinion,

Just because I see things in a different light doesn't mean that I don't value human life, because i value human life is the reason i want the perpetrators to be punished severely,

I appreciate you have different views, and I don't even try to put my word into your mouth,

But just to let you guys know how I feel when someone old enough to reproduce is committing a murder,

Does my feelings about the murderer does not count, Does my view at them is not justified, Suddenly Im a horrible person than them?

Oh and btw there are no religions that ask you to commit murder, but all religions ask you to punish a murderer.

Art,

I do agree with you that pregnant teens & dumping babies are actually the result of a bigger social problem.

I have read in US that teen mothers are also on the rise, but, seldom do we hear of them dumping their babies.

So, what's the difference between Malaysia & US that drives our teen mothers to dump their babies ?

Maybe a study tour (wink wink) to US could help shed some light towards a solution ?

What say you, Art ?

Seems like our gomen and GLCs don understand what is satire. When I read the gomen banned Zanur's cartoons, it's obvious that they are even threatened by cartoons! Guess these people never watched Jon Stewart, other wise they'll all fall off their chairs with a massive heart attack!

Yeap, these guys are the epitome of idiocity, if there's a global award for it, these guys will win, year after year!!

methinks many do not understand the langauge deep enough to take jokes, satires, insinuations... heck, even direct to-your-face words may not even be understood! Perhaps it is becos we thrive in manglish-ing, campur-ing, sms-ing words so much so, nobody care to do the language properly anymore.

Even Art i notice have toned down his vocab to k.i.s.s. [keep it short and simple :)] and it has to be so or otherwise a whole lot of us may not comprehend what he writes.
