In a nutshell...

A son asks his father, "What can you tell me about politics? I have to learn about it for school tomorrow." The father thought some and said, "OK, son, the best way I can describe politics is to use an analogy. Let's say that I'm a capitalist because I'm the breadwinner.

Your mother will be the government because she controls everything, our maid will be the working class because she works for us, you will be the people because you answer to us, and your baby brother will be the future. Does that help any?" The little boy said, "Well, Dad, I don't know, but I'll think about what you said."

Later that night, after everyone had gone to bed, the little boy was awaken by his baby brother's crying. Upon further investigation, he found a dirty diaper. So, he went down the hall to his parent's bedroom and found his father's side of the bed empty and his mother wouldn't wake up. Then he saw a light on in the guest room down the hall, and when he reached the door, he saw through the crack that his father was in bed with the maid. The son then turned and went back to bed.

The next morning, he said to his father at the breakfast table, "Dad, I think I understand politics much better now." "Excellent, my boy," he answered, "What have you learned?"

The little boy thought for a minute and said, "I learned that capitalism is screwing the working class, government is sound asleep ignoring the people, and the future's full of crap."

Seriouly Art- It isn't just the Government that's screwing the people.
I think the "civil activists" who seem to demand a perfect party led by a perfect politician in PKR are screwing up bigtime- and aiding UMNO in their political hegemony.
It's kinda getting sick ....

@Cruzeiro

No one is demanding perfection. But at least it is reasonably to demand PKR not behave like UMNO-lite.

Agree, Sang Kancil Guru. When the party election process is a sham, when the party bigwigs refuse to investigate, suspend or abort the elections, possibly due to the fear of deregistration by ROS if they cannot submit their annual returns in time, then how different is PKR from UMNO? How can we, the people, who clamoured for change and caused the tsunami in 308 still believe in the credibility of PKR?

ART you have a knack of making us all guilty capitalist, government fellos and working class, getting screwed and screwing around at best we can do and getting away with it. And the poor future fellos is getting the same kind of treatment from supposedly protectors and carers. Incidentally your story did happen to two frens. One the capitalist doing it to the worker while the government was alive. The other the people having a go with the working class having learned watching the capitalist and government copulating in win-win partnership!!! And the future in both cases, couldn't do a thing either! Makes us believe given the present state of behaviour of the capitalists, government and workers, the future doesn't look bright in BolehLand, no?

you are spot on art!those are the truth in both worlds...in dad's real world and dad's 'analogilized' world...hehe

Art
There is a variation to your story where the father tries a similar analogy for a two party system with an elder 'capitalist" brother and a second maid who si being screwed by the elder brother.

So the son tells the father that both the ruling elite and the so called other "opposition" parties are all screwing the working class while the Govt continues to sleep!
